Ms. Linda Diane McElroy (Robinson), 68, transitioned from this realm to her heavenly
home on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was born April 4, 1956, in Youngstown,
Ohio to Fred Carl McElroy and Pauline Yarn Jarrett. At the time of her transition, she
was a resident of Suffolk, Virginia.
A longtime Norfolk resident, Linda was a student at Lake Taylor High School.
Throughout her life, Linda placed a great emphasis on the value of an education. After
obtaining her GED, Linda graduated from Kee Business College in 1975. She went on
to work for several years as a medical secretary, a job she took great pride in.
Linda was a woman whose life was characterized by perseverance and determination.
She was a devoted Christian who enjoyed learning and sharing about her Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and often spent time reading and reflecting on the Psalms. In her
free time, she enjoyed knitting, coloring, and word searches. A true believer in kindness,
she took pleasure in writing personal messages in thank you cards, birthday cards, and
other types of expressions of love to her family, friends, and loved ones.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her two brothers, Tracy McElroy (Vavilla)
