In loving memory of Linda H. Bannon of Knotts Island, North Carolina who passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the arms of her angel following a short battle with cancer.
Born February 15, 1947 in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Elmore W. Hemsath and Nellie Celeste Jones Hemsath of Knotts Island. Linda was non-denominational in her faith, but believed in God’s grace and mercy. She was a former business woman in the hotel industry and later worked for Lowes. She inherited and ran the family’s business on Knotts Island for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elmore and Nellie Hemsath, and by her husband of 20 years, Thomas Orlowski. She is survived by two sons, Beau Moore and wife Michelle of New Port Richey, FL, and Aaron Pickrell and wife Liza of North Carolina; one stepdaughter, Tara Orlowski of Florida; and six grandchildren: Ariana Moore, Catalina Moore, Aubrey Pickrell, Richard Pickrell, Ries Pickrell, and Aiden Pickrell.
She was most known for her smile and passion for her cats, a real “animal lover”. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with two special people in her life whom she considered family, Thomas and Kimberly Taylor.
