Linda Stuart Schlosser, 78, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on March 27, 2017. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jack Schlosser, her loving daughters Donellen and Erica, their spouses Tom and Brian, step-grandchildren Alex and Dylan, and her niece Betsy Morningstar, husband Rick, and daughter Mackenzie, with whom she was very close.
Born and raised in Lewiston, Maine, she attended Bates College before meeting Jack, whose navy career led them to homes in California, Florida, and Puerto Rico before they put down roots in Virginia. She was always active in the community in addition to a successful career in real estate, volunteering for a number of organizations and causes over the years, notably her work for the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital Auxiliary Board, in which she remained active until the end. A hospitable woman who loved throwing parties, guests were always welcome in her home. Up until the end she was throwing parties and even had one in her hospital room to show appreciation for her nurses. She was known for her sharp mind, quick wit, and advice, which was always honest and full of love and wisdom.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 20, 2017, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1969 Woodside Lane, Virginia Beach, 23454, with a reception celebrating her life to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Linda Schlosser to: Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital Auxiliary “Beach Health Clinic,” Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.
