I am so saddened to hear of Lloyd's passing. I fondly remember Lloyd, he was always an upbeat soul, ready with a smile or a laugh; optimistic and patient too, he even tried to teach me to drive his first new car, a bright yellow VW Super Bug, on the second day that he owned it! (I can still hear it slipping out of gear and the engine just roaring while the car slips backwards on a hill, and Lloyd not being panic stricken at all...) Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences to Renae, his mom, and to Scott and Nanette. A bird may fly away but we will still remember its sweet song. - Lezlee

Dear Renea, Sam and I are so very saddened by Lloyds passing. He was such a wonderful friend and neighbor to us both. Our girls, Mel and Kathryn also extend their condolences to you and your family. We will always remember how wonderful and kind Lloyd was and cherish the precious memories of having soul food when he cooked collards or there southern favourites and we all got together to enjoy these together. He will surely be missed. We love you both so very much. Know we are thinking of you during these difficult times and are always here for you.

I am so sorry to read about Lloyd passing on. He worked for me at NNS and he was a strong contributor to the business. As I was new to the company in 1988, Lloyd was always ready to offer me sage advice, as well as provide solid support. I remember Lloyd with fondness and admiration. May his memory always be a blessing to his family and friends.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

There was a time in my life when Lloyd was my best friend. I will always remember the great times we had with the rest of our group that included his brother Scott and the late Donnie Wolf. We hung out in high school waiting for the weekend when we could it the road for fun. Although time and distance have separated us since high school and that first year at Busch Gardens, I will never forget Lloyd, he was one of my few true friends. My condolences to his mother, Scott and Nannette, his wife Renae and the Clevinger family. -Bill Taylor

Lloyd and Renae were my neighbors for several years, and I will always consider him as my best friend ever. We went to many small town festivals and regularly to ABC, where Lloyd never met a person that didn’t enjoy his company and want to see him again. Goodbye my friend, I will remember forever.

Renae and family, I was so sad to hear of Lloyd’s passing. We went to elementary and high school together. He led our ‘74 Reunion Committee through three reunions. He was so patient and kind with all of the girls on the committee. He was an organizer and followed through on all of our requests, and helped make our reunions memorable. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I am saddened beyond tears at Lloyd’s passing. We were neighbors in Longvue Shores until he and Renae moved further south. He always would lend a hand when needed, like when I saw filling up my pool and he ran a hose across the street for two days. I have many flowers...the daffodils, the humongous azaleas, the purple crepe myrtle, and the early spring white peony’s...your legacy lives on my yard, dear friend. May your family find support in our Lord and His helpers at this time.

Lloyd I did not know you that well as our lives did not cross, however; I did know your wonderful wife, Renae. In reading other condolences, it tells me how great of a person you were. I did have an opportunity to be at your Oak Terrace coming home celebration, talk to you and hug you and again at the rehab facility. You always had a beautiful smile no matter what. My heart goes out to Renae, family and friends for the loss of this great person. Memories will always keep him with you.
Kelly Burleson (Myers when he hired me) left a message on August 27, 2020:
Lloyd took a chance on me and hired me into contracts with no previous experience in contracts; though 15+ years of business experience. He was one of the greatest bosses I have had. I was so disappointed for our group, but happy for him when he left NNS for other bigger, better opportunities. I am saddened that he gone and send my prayers and deepest sympathies to his families and other friends and co-workers. I hope that I am fortunate enough to hear about the celebration when it is scheduled if it will include all that loved and appreciated him.
Russell Anderson left a message on August 27, 2020:
I have had the great pleasure to have Lloyd as a friend for over 20 years. Our trips together for installations on ships as well as working with him at the Savannah River Site created memories that last forever. We were always laughing and he always had a smile on his face and knew how to solve any problem I had. In short I consider him the best friend I ever had. Lloyd loved Renae and his entire family and always had their well being in the forefront, planning for the future with them. I am so sorry circumstances took him away early and that none of his friends had a chance to see him and tell him how much we loved him and enjoy his company. Rest in peace my good friend I will always remember you.
