Lori Ann Adams, 54, peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at her home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born on Thursday, August 25th, 1966 to the late Marilyn Cheek and Tommy Fortenberry in Atlanta, Georgia. Through many years in customer service she later received medical assistant training and pursued a career in dermatology in Virginia.
Lori was the life of the party and enjoyed making her presence known with her loud and confident personality. She made friends everywhere she went and was known for her southern accent. Family was her everything and embraced every moment with them along with her adored pets. She especially loved her role as grandma. With a green thumb she had a knack for growing plants and flowers. She enjoyed laughing, spending time with others, and was often whistling and singing along to a song on the radio.
Her memory is carried on by her son, Hawk Dan and his wife Mandi; daughter, Heather Cox and her husband Calvin; daughter, Errin Garrett and her husband Evin; granddaughters Charli, Zoie, and Chloe; brother Bobby Fortenberry; sister Davi Butler; nieces, nephews and many loving friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
