Lowell Valentine Hammersley, 78, of Newport News, VA passed on March 22, 2021 leaving a current wife, Yong Cha Hammersley. He was born on September 15, 1942 in Denver, CO as Robert Lowell Kirtland. He leaves behind three children from his first marriage, Roberta “Robin” (James) Dickess, Robert V. Kirtland, and Patrick Kirtland; six grandchildren, Felesha and Kyle Dickess, Tyler Kirtland, Shawn Austin and Rachel Kirtland; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Suzi Geisser of Chicago, IL.
