Virginia Beach – Loy C. Borders, Jr., 83, passed away on September 15, 2015. Loy was born in Georgia to the late Pearl and Loy C. Borders, Sr. He was also predeceased by his sister Sara Collins and granddaughter, Melissa.
Loy was a veteran of the US Army and was a faithful member of Kempsville Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Betty; children Gregory Borders, Kenneth Borders (Cumi), Teresa Cobs (Marvin), Michael Borders (Lesa), Thomas Borders (Cindy), Carolyn Sue Payne, Bobby Payne (Veeda) and Deanna Dunlap (Bill); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and brother Ralph Borders (Shirley).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Ave, Va Bch, VA 23451. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling all arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to vacremationsociety.com.
