The Rev. Margery Howell left a message on August 1, 2012:
As the Chaplain at Thornton Hall, I got to know Pasty well during her stay with us. We shared a deep spiritual connection. I loved hearing the stories she shared about growing up in Asheville, her years as a reading teacher, her beloved husband who died at such an early age leaving her with three sons to raise and how proud she was of each of them. Patsy was quite a story teller, and she shared them willingly. Patsy and I got to know each other well, and I will miss her. My condolences and sympathy go to each of Patsy's family during this most difficult time. Patsy is now living the promise of eternal life with God, at peace and out of pain. The Rev. Margery Howell, Chaplain
Debbie left a message on August 10, 2012:
I'm so glad I was able to reconnect with Patsy over the last 6-8 years. She and I taught at Bethany Christian School several years, and she taught me so much about professionalism and respect for children. Almost every time I visited her, she reminded me of children she taught there. I thoroughly enjoyed every visit with her. I rejoice with Patsy that she is with the Lord. She will live on in those who knew her as the model of a Christian lady and the epitome of a real friend. I loved her very much. I did not hear of Patsy's passing until today. I so regret that I did not get to pay my last respects. Please accept my condolances.
