Marianna Lucille Theo, 83, died on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born on December 13, 1940, in New York City to Joseph and Mary Curatolo (Azzara). She was predeceased by her parents and her stepmother, Elfriede Curatolo. Marianna is survived by her sons Nicholas, Stephen and Peter; a daughter Susanna. Marianna had four grandchildren: Leah, Alec, Kalina and Michael, as well as two great-grandchildren: Aria and Niko. Marianna is also survived by her sister Peg and brother Stephan as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and her Aunt Rose.

Marianna was known for her enthusiasm and curiosity for life. She enjoyed travelling and was always ready to meet new people. Yet, at heart, Marianna studied a varying range of subjects in depth. Marianna was retired, and previously she was a planned giving officer for nonprofits. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will sorely miss her.

Funeral services will be privately held. A memorial service and celebration of Marianna’s life will be held with its date and time to be announced later.
