Marilyn Mae Ferguson, a loving wife and dedicated mother, passed away on November 2, 2023, in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived a remarkable life.

Marilyn pursued a wonderful career as a custom agent, working diligently for Capes Shipping and ZIM Shipping. Her commitment and proficiency in her work were truly commendable.

She attended Old Dominion University, where she cultivated her knowledge and skills. Marilyn cherished her time there, finding joy in the pursuit of education and personal growth.

Marilyn’s family and friends were an integral part of her life. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard A. Ferguson, Sr. Together, they built a life filled with love, respect, and cherished memories.

She is preceded in death by their daughter Amy. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Richard. Sr. and son Richard, Jr.

A private celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at a later date, allowing family and close friends to gather together and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue Marilyn’s legacy of generosity and compassion.
