Mark Edward Butler, 63, of Newport News, VA passed away on December 16, 2019. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Arnold Israel Butler and Louise Agnes Skippen.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dale, Catherine, Eloise, Gertrude, and Charlotte.

Mark was a Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed motorcycles and working on cars and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association.  Mark was a generous soul who would help anyone in need with no judgement and considered everyone he met a friend. A jokester, he would great everyone with a joke and a smile.

He leaves behind daughters, Staci and Elise; two grandchildren, EJ and AJ and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A private service will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home.

Cremation Society of Virginia- Newport News assisted the family with the arrangements.
