Martin C. Solosabal, affectionately known to many as Marty, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Hampton, Virginia, at the age of 70. Born on December 24, 1955, in Rupert, Idaho Marty lived a life characterized by dedication, hard work, and love for those around him.
Marty proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. Following his military service, he pursued his passion for mechanics, and numerous other trades until his well-deserved retirement.
Outside of his professional life, Marty was a man of many interests. He found joy in fishing, gardening, and woodworking, often crafting beautiful pieces. Above all, Marty treasured the moments spent with his devoted wife, Jane, and their circle of family and friends. His love for Jane was evident to all who knew him, and their bond was a testament to a life well-lived together.
A man of faith, Marty attended Liberty Live Church, where he found solace and community. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Valentine and Marleah Solosabal, and his brothers, Michael and Gregory Solosabal.
Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Solosabal, who stood by his side through all of life’s journeys. He also leaves behind his brother, Mason Solosabal; sisters, Susan Worden and Paula Chase; and half-brother, Valentine Solosabal. They, along with countless friends, will remember Marty for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
Marty’s legacy is one of love, strength, and devotion. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
