Marvin Harrington passed away on May 3, 2021. He was born in Scotland but raised in America. Preceding him in death is his cousin, Jim Byrne.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Charlie and Wilma Harrington; his brother, Leon Harrington; and many extended family and friends.

Marvin was funny, outgoing, and he had a big heart. He would do anything he could to help someone in need. He enjoyed his career as an HVAC technician. He also loved NASCAR races, fishing, video games, and in his free time you could often find him practicing at the gun range. Marvin will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Following the service, guests are invited to join the family at Charlie and Wilma’s home for a reception.

My deepest condolences to Charlie, Wilma, Leon & Family. I'll always remember Marvin especially from back when I'd see him at the Little Creek Amphib Base Gym with his Dad (Charlie). About 1 year ago he installed a new HVAC system in my partner Ken's home. Rest in Peace Marvin...❤

On3rd may 21 Scotland and America became united in grief with the passing of Marvin. Sadly America has lost a patriot with strong American values, honesty, integrity, high morals and strong family values. Scotland lost a son a true brave heart on that sad day. I lost not just a nephew but a friend,A man I was proud and honoured to call a true friend Marvin has passed and will be laid to rest,while we here in heart broken Scotland will remember Marvin.
