Virginia Beach ~ Mary Cortese Flowers, 63, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away at Sentara Heart Hospital on January 4, 2021. Mary was born in North Plainfield, NJ on November 23, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Cortese and is survived by her mother Mary Cortese, husband Christopher F. Flowers III, son Joseph Flowers, daughter Catrina Flowers, grandchildren Christian & Hunter Flowers, great grandchildren Ava & Tanner Flowers, her 8 brothers and sisters in NJ- Christina, Peter, Zoe, Ronnie, Michael, Josette, Anthony, Sherry, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a retired local business owner and enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She was a dedicated mother first & foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a Grandma. She also loved to dance, music, travel, and go to the beach. She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date due to current restrictions.
