Mary J. Buff Bumgardner departed this life bound for her eternal home on April 25, 2011. She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Raymond E. Bumgardner, Jr.; her son David Bumgardner and wife, Pam; her daughter Marguerite Ingle; her only grandchild, Nikki Bumgardner; and her brother James Justice and his wife, Judy.
Buff was a member of Bayside Church of Christ in Virginia Beach and Bayside Church of Christ in Elizabeth City.
She loved to knit and crochet and took pleasure in giving away her creations to those in need. She was involved in starting Love Bear Ministries in several Churches, which furnished bears to children in hospitals.
She cherished her family and friends and will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held April 30, 2011 at 2:00pm at Bayside Church Of Christ, 5025 Shell Rd. VA Beach. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cremate.org.
