Mary Lee (Munford) Gordon, 66, of Virginia Beach, passed away on February 21, 2024. Born in Virginia on October 26, 1957, to Howard T. Munford, Sr. and Sadie Hampton Munford . Mary had a sassy wit and a heart of gold. She had a way of telling you how it was, but always with good intentions at heart. Known for her generous spirit, she would give anything to anyone in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mary will be remembered for her selfless nature, her willingness to help in any way possible, and the love she shared with those closest to her. She was a devoted grandmother and had a special place in her heart for her grandkids and grand dogs.

Mary cherished her family and friends above all else. She is survived by her mother Sadie Munford; daughter Nancy Eleftheratos and her husband Andy; grandchildren Charisma Ewings, Helena, Gabby, and Nick Eleftheratos; sister Teresa Carroll and her husband Rick, brother Tommy Munford, sisters Cheryl Atkins, and Sharon Smith and her husband Randy. Mary also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her father Howard Thomas Munford, Sr., and grandparents Lula and Joe Hampton, and Hilda and Walter Munford.

A memorial service to honor Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 6pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Donations in Mary’s name may be made to The COPD Foundation.
