MARY ROSE BRESNAHAN DUFFY, 81, of Virginia Beach, Va. passed away peacefully on July 10, 2010. Mary Rose was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and Chesapeake Beach, Md. She was a nurturing and loving mother to everyone, was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles, and relished eating Maryland steamed crabs. Mary Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Vincent Duffy, and her sons, Patrick and Joseph, and daughter, Mary Teresa Walton. She is survived by her sons, Timothy, William and Thomas; and daughters, Bridget and Frances, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach, Md. on Saturday, July 17th, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
