Mary Wood Pittman went to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 4, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Wood and a member of Alexander Baptist Church. Mary’s favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. She loved the Lord, her family and her community. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Jeff; her sisters, Elsie and Mildred.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gordon Pittman; daughter, Linda Pinnell and her husband, Gary; daughter-in-law, Melissa Pittman; grandchildren, Jessica Braswell and her husband, Ed; Martin Pinnell and wife, Erin; Noah Pittman and his wife, Elizabeth. Gran Mary’s nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews will miss her dearly.
