Maxine Arnold Forbes (age 89) departed this life on 11/12/2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents Raymond & Lorine Arnold, her siblings & her husband of 53 years, Carol Burton Forbes. She is survived by her beloved children, Glenn (Jayne), Lynne Jonas (Bob) and Nancy King, and her adored grandchildren Geoffrey King, Savannah King & April Forbes. She was a long time member of St. Brides Episcopal Church & served in many capacities in her earlier years. She served as Vestry person, Finance Chairman, Leader of Adult Education, President Women of the Church, Church Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the Rector.
She enjoyed her life at the Commons at Princess Anne, her neighbors and bingo friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Commons of Princess Anne for her close friends and neighbors on Saturday, December 9th from 2-4. Memory gifts may go to a charity of your desire or to St. Brides Church in Chesapeake, VA. A private family gathering will be held at a later date, at Woodlawn Cemetery where her ashes will be interned.
Maxine’s joy of life, love of family, and sense of humor were a joy to everyone who met her.
