A proud American, Mel served his country in the US Navy for over 24 years before continuing his career in civil service.
Mel was a kind and generous person to all he met. He considered everyone to be a friend.
Retired Chief Petty Officer Melvin W. Fazenbaker will be buried at sea with full military honors along with Josie, his wife and the love of his life.
God speed and smooth sailing, dear friend. You will forever be in our hearts.
