Michael Allen Phillips, age 70, of Moyock, North Carolina, passed away on March 29, 2024. He was born on April 6, 1953, in Medford, Massachusetts.

Michael is survived by his two children, Christina and Shannon. He was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren, Naomi , Jaeden, and Landen Micheal. His mother Natalie Phillips , his two sisters Elizabeth Graham and Deborah Lashomb (Steve) , 7 nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and nephews, and not to forget his significant other, Joyce Waldie.

Michael was predeceased by his dad, Harold Phillips, and his brother David Phillips.

Michael attended Kellam High School and later continued his studies at the College of Albemarle. He had a successful career as a welder at the shipyard.

One of Michael’s greatest passions was riding his motorcycle. He loved hitting the open road and feeling the wind in his face.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart and love for his family. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor (inappropriate at times!) He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mike we really had some fun on those hot Va Beach nights playing pool on 17th St. and cruising the oceanfront with Jimbo, Barbara Jean and Carey. Nothing will ever be same without you. A real man's man, a loving family man. Hope they let you into heaven with your Harley. Finally at peace. Such an honest man.

you are the light of my life.

it's not good-bye, honey, it's..."I'll see you later". I miss the daily weather updates "let the faucets drip tonight" "wear your long johns tonight". It's the "did "Crossed Eyed Mary" enjoy the watermelon I got him?". It's sitting and talking on the front porch for hours, between cups of coffee. Just a pair of old bedroom slippers, together, No honey, it's not goodbye, we'll see each other later.

tho I didn't know you well, it was a pleasure to meet you. You were so kind and so much fun to be around. R.I.P.
