Norfolk – Michael Jeffery Williamson, 77, passed away June 5, 2013. He was born in San Diego, California to R Adm. Francis T. and Eleanor B. Williamson.
He had a successful career as an insurance broker. He was a lifelong Hunter, Fisherman and an avid Sailor. Most of all, he loved all of his family unconditionally and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by Gayle C. Williamson, his wife of 51 years; two children, Lisa Christiansen Wayne, and Michael J. Williamson II Jennifer; five grandchildren, Chris, Cory, Lauren, Ashley Christiansen, and Ryan Moore; sister, Nancy Sutter Brad, brother, Capt. Francis T. Williamson, Jr. Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held for family and friends at 2pm on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Chesapeake Bay Foundation, in the Spirit of “Lively Lady.” Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.
