Life is only too short if you haven't lived every day you were given. Michael Olenik was a giant among humans. He lived every single day to the fullest. This man loved his family, friends, community and mankind. Michael was always there with confidence. He sought to give assistance. People turned to him for guidance. He found the love of his life, Alice, and lived life loving her and their children and grandchildren. He lived with honor, respect for all, generosity and care for other people. He will be missed by so many. Rest in piece my friend.

Alice, Nick and family I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Mike Olenik for about 20 years. Mike was always full of fun, curiosity, creativity and compassion. As contractors, we visited many places and met many different people. Mike was first to reach out and embrace new folks and ideas. Together, he and Alice raised a beautiful family and were usually the center of the joyous and frenetic activities in their neighborhood. There seemed to be so much happening that it was almost scary, but they were there and in control. How incredible is that? But, best of all, Mike was a good and just man. I know I am not alone in saying that He will be missed. We need men and families like this in our lives. Thanks, Mike and Alice, for sharing.

As a co-worker and friend of 29 years, Mike has left his footprints in my life. I will never forget all his kindnesses, wisdom and, of course, the laughs we shared over the years. He was a special person and words cannot describe how sorry I am at his loss. It is with deep sympathy that I offer my sincere condolences to you and your family.

I am indeed saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was a spiritual leader for the PRC gang that I was privileged to serve on. The world is,indeed, a darker place today. I pray that they memory of the good times you shared will quickly grow to fill the void you feel today.
