It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michelle Lynn Dudley, lovingly known as Lynn, who departed this world on May 14, 2025, at the age of 52 in Hampton, Virginia. Born on April 19, 1973, in Kentucky, Lynn’s life was a testament to kindness, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Lynn’s journey was one marked by love and dedication. Her professional career saw her serve diligently as a bookkeeper for the City of Newport News and later for the City of Poquoson. Her attention to detail and commitment to her work were matched only by her passion for helping others. Whether assisting with home projects or rescuing animals in need, Lynn’s heart knew no bounds.
A graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College, Lynn earned a Bachelor’s Degree that laid the foundation for her successful career. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she found joy in running the camera for church events, capturing moments of worship and community.
Lynn’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and cherished. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Dudley; her mother, Vicki Boughner; her father, James Sykes; her beloved children, sons Alex, Eben, Brandon, Caleb, and her daughter Hailey; and her precious granddaughter, Amara. She also leaves behind her dear friend Rachel Vogeley, whose companionship brought joy and laughter into Lynn’s life.
Preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother, Jerry Landry, Lynn is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
A Memorial Service is to be held June 1st 2025 at 2 pm at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton Virginia
