Virginia Beach- Mildred S. Banks, 93, died on October 26, 2017. Mildred was born to M.C. Sawyer and Catherine D. Sawyer of Norfolk. She is survived by her brother Ervin Sawyer and sister Hester Lawson.
Mildred married Bernard C. Banks and they shared thirty-five years of marriage prior to his death. Karen Toombs and Ronald W. Banks (deceased) completed their family.
Mildred enjoyed her family and her three grandchildren: Danny Banks (Ronnie), Christian and Katherine (Karen). Mildred was proud to have nine great grandchildren.
Mildred’s greatest joy was helping her family. Christmas Eve meant dinner for her large family. She cooked for over fifty loved ones until she was eighty-six.
Friends and family will gather at 501 Chesopeian Trail, Virginia Beach on November 5th from 2 to 6 PM.
