Dear Sharon and Family, I was so sad to read about Milly. I think of her often and have missed seeing her. No one could have been kinder or more loving than she was to me and my children. Much love and sympathy to you all, Mary

Growing up I remember summer time fun with my cousin "Milly" when my family would travel from Richmond to Norfolk. Later Milly's beautiful wedding and the births of her sweet girls Becky and Sharon. In recent years Milly and I renewed our childhood friendship when we began meeting for lunch. Milly's favorite was a tie between Red Lobster and Cracker Barrel. Milly was one of the most 'giving' and loving people I have known- always ready to supply what was needed-sometimes a visit to those who were unable to get out to visit her with some sweet gift in hand. Milly never forgot to send a Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation or whatever the occasion card - letting us know we were remembered and cared about. She was one of God's angels living among us and now she is 'living eternally' with our Lord, God in heaven- flying with other angels. Enjoy eternity Milly -I love you my dear cousin, Betty

I met Milly when I started working at NDC in 1984. She became my friend, my "other mother", and her daughters became the sisters I never had. We'd go into work early, and go out to lunch at 10:30, when other people were just finishing breakfast. She always drove, putting on her rain hat because the headliner in her car was falling down. Our favorite place for lunch was Taco Bell - she'd always order extra salsa for her taco salad. My most precious gift from her is a copy of a family cookbook that she helped create. I have it on my bookshelf in our dining area, and go to it whenever I need an awesome meatball and meatball sauce recipe or a potato salad recipe which is the only one I use now. I'm thankful I got a chance to say "see ya later" to her, and I know she's in a better place - hanging out with Dot, GinGin, and probably bossing Chappy around. Know that she was loved by many, and left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate to call her "friend".
