WILLIAMSBURG – Mitchell “Mickey” Ray Jacobs, Sr., 61, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Mickey was born on September 17, 1956 in Prince Georges, MD to the late Kathleen Mullins and James Bernard Jacobs, Sr. In his earlier years, Mickey was a Volunteer Fire Fighter and EMT with the Williamsburg Fire Department. Mickey had been employed with Henry Branscome, Farm Fresh and Paul’s Deli. He also attended Grace Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his two sons, Mitchell “Mick” Jacobs Jr. (Wendy) of Williamsburg and Adam H. Jacobs of Eden, NC; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Charlier (Karen) of Williamsburg and James Bernard “Bucky” Jacobs, Jr. (Sharon) of Fleming Island, Florida; a sister, Patricia Jacobs of Hampton, VA; mother of his children, Joanie Webb Thomas (Floyd) of Eden, NC; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members, and special friends, Ruth O’Connell, Richard (Munchie) Vance and Tina Landrum.
The family would like to give a sincere thank-you to Grace Hospice for all the compassion and special care they gave.
