Mollie Sue Mushett, 82, of Chesapeake, VA, died of natural causes on June 5th, just shy of her 83rd birthday.
Mollie was born in New Hebron, Mississippi in 1941. In 1959, she married an Airman from New Jersey and they traveled the world together raising their family before settling in Virginia. Mollie had a lifelong passion for helping others to include being a scout troop leader, boys’ soccer coach, volunteering for Meals on Wheels delivery, and she enjoyed being involved at her church.
Mollie is survived by her husband of 65 years, George Mushett, her daughters Susan Rowden, Becky Barnes and Cynthia Mushett and her sons Allan Mushett and Charles Mushett. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren, Jenna, Emma, Michael, Tyler, Ethan and Cody and three great grandchildren, Dean, Thea and Iris.
She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Chesapeake on Tuesday, June 18th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mollie’s name to St Thomas’, https://
