Muriel Bienvenu Hoggard, 89, passed away at her daughter’s home on December 3, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edward Bienvenu & late Doris Le Poidevin Bienvenu. She was a charter member of Azalea Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for 41 years. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society during her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband  “Junie” Harry E. Hoggard, their infant son Harry E. Hoggard, and her sister Gladys Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Jean Standridge and husband Jerry, Patricia Ann Hough and husband Dickey, and Dorothy Jean Harrison; her sister Doris Hollomon; her grandchildren Dale Reed and wife Stephanie, Tori Hanbury and husband Wayne, Stacie Carpenter and husband Ric, Dickey Lee Hough, Tricia Morgan, and Cori Hough; and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday December 9th at Azalea Baptist Church, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice.
