Nancy Bennett May, 52, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Virginia Beach, Virginia surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Nancy was born February 21, 1970 to Thomas Weir and Jane Bennett Moore in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Nancy worked at Rein, Inc. as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the past 13 years and loved her job.  She was active in her community where she volunteered for various charities such as the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters Run and Walk.  She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, enjoyed visiting various wineries in her travels from coast to coast, loved her various clubs such as her book club made up of old and new friends, and loved her girls night out with her neighborhood girls.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Weir Moore, and is survived by her mother, Jane Bennett Moore, along with her brother, Walter T. Moore, and sister, Charlotte M. Smetana.  She is also survived by her nieces, Jessica Lafferty and Grace Moore; nephews, Cody Withrow and Harrison Moore; along with two great-nephews, Cameron and Brett Withrow.

At Nancy’s request there will be no formal services held.  Any memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA at 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23453.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.vacremationsociey.com.
