Nancy E. Brooks- Norfolk

Nancy Elizabeth Brooks passed away on Thursday January 13, 2011, from complications of COPD, and emphysema. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Joseph M. Brooks and her three children, Christine Laxson, Kevin Bremer, and Suzanne Johnson, and has been blessed with 9 grandchildren. Her siblings are Linda Sue Haynes, Gordan Ducas, and Caroline Jenkins. Nancy was an avid gardener, who collected dolls, liked junking, going to festivals and enjoyed making flower arrangements, both live and silk. She loved camping, or just going on a picnic and had gone to Williamsburg, Gettysburg, Valley Forge, Death Valley, California Redwoods, and many places between. She brought up her children, while her husband spent 12 years at sea out of a 21 year career. She was stubborn, determined, loved life, always loved her family. She was born on 23 Dec 1943 in lshpeming, MI. She and her husband lived in Treasure Island, CA., Zion, IL., Hampton, VA., Bensalem, PA. and Norfolk, VA. The physicians and nurses who knew her always enjoyed her kind words and smile. All who knew her will miss her, and think of her with a smile.
