Norfolk ~ Nancy Little Street, loving and devoted wife and mother, passed away at 85, Friday, May 14, 2021. Nancy was born in Baltimore, MD, to Charles and Mary (Kritz) Little. She was predeceased by her husband, Rowland; her sisters, Betty Collins and Eileen Watson. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Street and her husband David Johnston, and Michelle Moran; granddaughter Lindsay Moran; her brother, Chuck Little and his wife Roberta Newman, and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy grew up in Norfolk and attended Maury High School. She retired after 30 years with Household Finance as a manager. Nancy was very talented and creative, especially making jewelry using seashells and semi-precious gemstones and painting furniture and trinkets. She participated in many arts and crafts shows locally, including the Stockley Gardens Art Festival and eventually opened a gift shop, Seafaire, with her sisters. She loved going to Coquina Beach at the Outer Banks to collect seashells, entertaining and cooking for family, and she really enjoyed renovating a vacation home in Cape Charles with her husband. Everyone remembers Nancy for her adoring smile, a positive attitude, and an amazing style and grace. She gave so much of herself to her daughters exhaustively and selflessly, but always, always with love.
A celebration of life will be held at the daughters’ residence, Saturday, May 22, at 1PM. We want to offer our utmost gratitude to the staff at First Colonial Inn, Heartland Hospice, and CareAdvantage, especially Nurse Tiana, CNA Destiny, Caregiver Betty, and Sheila’s Place for caring for and loving our mother. You all blessed our family so graciously and lovingly.
