Nancy Creech Kell, born March 16, 1947, passed away on April 26, 2022. Nancy was a devoted Nana, mother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend to many. A graduate of Maury High School in 1965, she received her Associates Degree in Business Administration in 1999 and a President’s Award.

Retired after 30+ years as a civil servant, she worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the Corps of Engineers in Wilmington, NC and for the Department of the Navy in Norfolk, VA. Her hard work rewarded her with an Employee of Year and several Humanitarian Awards. She was especially proud of her work with the Corps’ hurricane relief effort from 1992 – 1998 with which she travelled as far as Puerto Rico to work and help those in need.

An avid and skilled dancer, she was an active member of the Virginia Beach Shag Club. She was an enthusiastic volunteer to several organizations – her favorite activity was helping others.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
