Dear Pam, I had the privilege to know and come to love your mother Nadine for over 20 years as one of my bingo buddies. As I said, when I greeted you standing in line, your Mom was a beautiful and very special lady. I will miss all the hugs and kisses we exchanged every time we met and the wonderful conversations we shared (usually about our families) . I wanted you to know that when I first greeted her that day she was so excited to tell me that her daughter was with her and pointed you out to me. Her face was lite up like a Christmas Tree with pride and joy. In fact, the very last thing she said to me before I walked over to meet you was, "I'm in heaven". I apologize if I was interfering when I ran across the room to be with your Mother but I was following my heart. It was an honor to cradle her precious head, stroke and kiss her brow and softly sing "Jesus Loves Me" as her soul prepared to depart her earthly body. Although she couldn't speak I know that she could hear because tears fell from her eyes as you kissed her cheek and said "I love you Mamma". Please take comfort in knowing that Nadine looked happier than I have ever seen her that day because you and Gay were with her.
