Pamela N. Tranberg, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at home on July 28, 2023 in Chesapeake, VA at the age of 73 surrounded by family. She was born on June 30, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois.
Pamela spent most of her career in the Information Technology field as a Systems Analyst for various companies before retirement. She was best known for her selfless acts of kindness to others, literally saving the lives of those she opened her heart and home to and redirecting their paths through unconditional love. A woman of the highest intellect, quick witted, and unabashedly outspoken with a firecracker tongue, Pamela lived life on her own terms but always invited others along for the ride if they could keep up. Her welcoming nature, warm spirit, and humor will be missed by everyone.
She was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness and found solace and strength in her faith.
Pamela is preceded in death by her mother Prinella Brown, father Charles Brown Sr., brother Paul C. Brown and nephew Paul D. Brown. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Lauritz M. Tranberg, brothers Charles Brown Jr., Richard Brown, Phillip Brown, sister Viola Perrin, daughter Tamara Reynolds, sons Alexander Brown and Michael Derrios, grandsons Jordan Tranberg, Christopher Tranberg, Taj Tranberg, Key Derrios, and granddaughters Taylor Reynolds and Gabrielle Reynolds as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Pamela’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness leaves an indelible memory on the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
The immediate family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony after cremation.
