Continue ReadingPatricia E. Smith peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by family, on April 11, 2022. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 70 years, Joseph. She is survived by her four children; Diane, Joseph Jr., Robert and Timothy; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and her sister, Doris Barker.
She was the perfect Navy wife, strong, independent and adventurous and for 32 years took care of home and children while supporting her husband’s mission. She was a community volunteer for many organizations and very involved in activities at Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 with inurnment in the church’s Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA, CHKD, and Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Station 8.
