Patricia Jennings Edwards of Chesapeake, VA died on September 25, 2024. She was the daughter of Charles W. Jennings and Dorothy Davie Jennings.

She was born in Norfolk, VA on December 21, 1942 (in the middle of a blizzard), was educated in Chesapeake, VA, and graduated from Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake in 1960. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Chesapeake (now Coastal Church).

She served many volunteer hours with both the Henrico County VA Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary and also the Henrico County Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary in Richmond, VA. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Edwards; brothers, Charles Jennings, Jr. and Larry Jennings; and many friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Anita Edwards; granddaughters, Carolyn Edwards and Amanda Edwards; daughter-in-law, Bracken Edwards; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30th, 2024 at Coastal Church located at 1832 Elbow Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Patricia can be made to the charity of your choice.
