Patrick Francis Doyle passed away on July 4th, 2024 with his family by his side in Virginia Beach, VA, He was born to John Harold Doyle and Christine Cecilia Doyle (McCarthy) of Waterbury, Connecticut. He was a proud member of the United States Navy giving 25 years of his life to serve his country.
Patrick was a very active member of the VFW Post 392 and several other military affiliations throughout his years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours and also was a submariner who travelled all over the world during his military career. He retired from the military in 1983 and settled in Virginia Beach ,VA. He met his wife at the VFW and enjoyed spending most of his time up there with his brother and close friends talking about life and enjoying so much laughter. He loved his daughters and grandchildren beyond measure and was a proud father and grandfather. Patrick loved his Pabst Blue Ribbon beers, going out on the water on the revamped Riverine Patrol Boat, and attending events to honor those who have served. To know Patrick was surely to love him, he had a wealth of knowledge and wit and he will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife Dinah Doyle, his daughters Shannon Doyle and Christine Kemick (Terrance Kemick) and his grandchildren Aidan Kemick-Doyle and Oliver Kemick, his brother Thomas Doyle, his sisters Roberta (Bobby) Doyle, Margaret Doyle, Susan Doyle (Hazelbaker), and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Makayla Cox, and his sister Elaine Wilkinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Post 392 located in Virginia Beach, VA on August 3rd, 2024 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be made to The Virginia Veterans Services Foundation at www.virginiaveteransservicesfoundation.org or to honor his late granddaughter Makayla Cox at www.makaylacheriefoundation.com.
