Chesapeake – Paul A.Warren, Jr., 55, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. He was born in Norfolk, Va and grew up in the Indian River Section of Chesapeake. He is survived by his loving wife Vickie, who worked tirelessly as his caregiver; son Paul III and wife Dory. He is also survived by his parents, Paul and Jean; brothers, Ken and wife Karen, Mark and wife Vicky, David and wife Esther; stepsons, Michael Maurice and wife Stacy, Brent Buda and was a loving “Graddy” to a special little girl, Addison Maurice; nephews, Kyle, Skylar, Matthew and Noah; and his large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul had hoped to be here for the birth of his grandson, Paul IV in August but his seven year battle with liver disease took its toll. He is now at peace and pain free. The family wishes to thank the staff of Va Beach General for their compassion and thoughtfulness in their care of Paul. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 3:30pm at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3229 MacDonald Road, Va Bch 23464. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be directed to support Dr. David Cosgrove’s liver cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Please make checks payable to The Johns Hopkins University with a memo indicating that this gift is in memory of Paul Warren, Jr., and mail to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, 100 North Charles Street, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to www.cremate.org.
