Paulette “Pat” B. Chandler

Hampton-Paulette Bray Chandler, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

She was born June 18, 1927 in Halifax County, Va and resided in Hampton, VA since 1994.  She was the daughter of the late Burnette E. Bray, Sr. and Leanna M. Bray.

She was predeceased by her sister Lula Cockerill, two brothers Burnette E. Bray, Jr. and John Lee Bray, lifelong partner Thomas B. Chandler and a nephew A. Bray Cockerill.

Ms Pat is survived by her children, Janet and Gary McGraw and Susan Chandler which were her pride & joys.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Erica, Elizabeth, Patrick & Adam, great grandchildren Nelida and Kinleigh and two nephews Mike & Mitch Bray.

She attended college at JMU and Duke receiving her nursing degree to be come a registered nurse with a career of over 40 years.

Nursing and being a mother was her true calling with her having a heart of gold along with a kind & giving nature and loving free spirit.  Her love touched many, her presence will never fade and will be solely missed by her family and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, November 18, 2017 Liberty Christian Church in Nathalie, VA.

In lieu of flowers make a memorial donation to the church’s gravesite fund or in her kinship of kindness give of yourself or help to others in need.
