Peggy Lee Tice, 63 of the 8500 block of Old Ocean View Rd. passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in her home.

Born January 1, 1955, she was the first baby born at Norfolk General Hospital and entered this world making headlines in local newspapers.

She was predeceased by her mother, Georgia Lucas Roope and father, Willie Thomas Roope, Sr. and is survived by her soulmate and life partner, Denise Hammond of the residence, sister, Shirley A. Connolly (Dick), brother, Willie T. Roope, Jr (Cindy) 5 children; Amanda Perry (David), Julie Rockefeller (David), Walter W. Phillips, Jr (Joyce), James D. Tice, Jr (Megan), Nicole Tice (Michael Forbes), grandchildren; Martin R. Tice, Jr, Crystal N. Dise (Chase), Sierrah L. Withrow (Parris), Tyler W. Phillips, Jacob A. Phillips, Spencer L. Perry, Faith R. Withrow, Lily S. Phillips, Alexis P. Tice and Cheyenne E. Tice, and Payton G. Forbes; great-grandchildren; Cayleigh Mentock, Caidance Parker.

Peggy was a warm, nurturing, loyal and loving mother and partner that had a passion for plants, her life with Denise, and mostly the babies. She will be missed dearly by anyone who had the pleasure of sharing a laugh with her.

A celebration of her life will be held at her residence, 8531 Old Ocean View Rd. Norfolk, VA 23503 on Saturday, May, 26, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M.  The family requests all condolences be sent directly to the home address.
