He was a member of the 1959 Norview High School Pilots State Championship football team. He was also a member of the 1963 Virginia Tech Southeastern Conference Championship football team. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He watched every Virginia Tech football game. He was a loving, kind, and thoughtful person and never said a negative word about anyone. He loved singing in the church choir and had a beautiful tenor voice.
We would like to thank his caregivers who were an amazing help: Pigeon Hoggany, Thalia Adams, and Cynthia Ruffin. A special thanks to Adriana Tucker of Bliss In Home who helped in his last days. At Heart Hospice also assisted and were invaluable.
