Phillip Ward Lowe passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the age of 76. Phillip is survived by his wife Beverly Jeanine Lowe; his siblings—Wayne [Bev] Lowe, Nancy Bovard, Cynthia Lowe, Donna [Johnny] Holloway, and Debbie [David] Schmidt; and a host of other relatives and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Kyle and his parents Hansel and Nellie Lowe.

A lifelong resident of Poquoson, VA, he served in the Vietnam War and owned an underground cable business for many years. He loved the water and was known to bend many an ear with his assorted fishing tales.

To Phillip, strangers were only friends he hadn’t yet met. He will be remembered as a generous and caring man who was always willing to help anyone in need. Forever missed, he will remain loved by all who knew him.

There will be a memorial service will be conducted at a later date at Clayton Rollins Funeral Home, 836 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.

Oh Mr. Lowe, I'm so glad you're not suffering anymore but I will miss you terribly around DH! Hearing your stories and making sure you were comfortable was my favorite part of the day. Praying for comfort for your family and friends as they mourn the loss of a special man.

My dear sweet Mr. Lowe aka “Chef Lowe”. I’m so thankful that I had the pleasure of being your nurse at DH each week. You were my friend and my most favorite of all my patients. You always made us smile and we so enjoyed all of your stories, as well as hearing of the many seafood recipes you shared. We loved you dearly and you will truly be missed. My prayers go out to your family and especially to your beloved Bev during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of seeing and chatting with Mr. Lowe pretty regularly at Riverside Doctors' Hospital. He was always so kind and even quite witty. He will be missed by all the people here who got to know him over the years. My condolences to his family.

Phil was a great man. Always loved seeing him and talking with him. I always considered him a true friend. May you rest in peace my brother. My thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. Look forward to seeing you again my friend.

My heart is broken. He was like dad, uncle, friend for me. I work at RDHW and I have him here almost very week. My sweet Lowe I will miss you. My condolence or family and wife.

To Phillip’s Family - so sorry to read this today about Phillip. We were classmates together and he was so much fun, especially at dances. Boy could he dance - dips and all. May your memories keep you strong in the coming days.

Uncle Phillip, you are and will be missed by many. I only wish I could have been around home more these last years. I miss sitting around with you and the family listening to all of your old stories.
