QMC David Charles Reece, USN Ret., 69, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his loving wife by his side.  David was born at Ft. Benning, Georgia on November 21, 1953.  He was the son of Richard and Lois Reece.

He was a graduate of Princess Anne High School and St. Leo University. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1971.  He served on both the east and west coast and at Auburn University. He is a plank owner aboard the USS Nassau.  He retired after 22 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Vicki Bosarge Reece, his children, Brandy Reece Arthur (Rodney) of California and Adam Reece (Christine) of North Carolina, four loving grandchildren Raven James, Tuesday Arthur, Rodney (Nathan) Arthur II, and Othello Reece as well as two great-grandchildren Landon and Leia. His grandchildren will always remember him for his Poppi steak, waffles and bacon.

David is also survived by his father, Richard Reece and his three siblings: Robert (Bobby) Reece (Lyuda), Cathy Reece and Cindy Reece-Biggs (Billy) and nieces and nephews, Dea, Mark, Dasha, Heather and Zach. He is predeceased by his mother, Lois Brown Reece.

Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service.  The family would like to thank Adina and Roger Etheridge, the Reece siblings, Trinity Hospice and all of David’s family and friends for their love and support.
