Raelene Ruth Gray, 78, passed away in her home on Jan 1, 2018.
She is survived by two brothers: Kenny Jarrett, Bobby Jarrett, and sister Teri Kerichenko; 5 children: Ranelle E. Fortier, Kimberly M. Gray, Kevin C. Gray, Stacy L. Gray, and Leslie K. Salyer; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
With a strong faith in God, a hunger to learn, a curious nature and a zest for life, Raelene was always ready to try something new or experience adventure.
From leading Girl Scouts to Women’s Auxiliary; playing softball to tennis; taking karate to fencing; from hotel maid to ship cook; an artist and a musician; an author and a poet; from entrepreneur to business owner; from training dogs to teaching girls tennis; from scrabble to cornhole; whatever she did, she did to her fullest.
Raelene loved God, her family, her friends and her church.
To celebrate her life her family will hold a “scattering of ashes ceremony” in her loved state of Oregon.
Cremation Society of Virginia assisted with arrangements.
