I enjoyed working with Ray while at NAVELEX. His humor and wisdom on the job made life easier for all. It was Camelot!!

Dickey and I were so sorry to hear about Ray. You all have been in our prayers and will continue to be there. I'll always remember Ray's smile and nice singing voice at the 8:30 service at Haygood. I always felt so good after hearing him sing. I also remember seeing him Alice too volunteering at Bayside Hospital. You both are great in your services for our Lord! My Deepest Sympathy!

What a special and important person Ray was to so many people! He played a special role to many girls in the Girl Scout troop that Kate was a member of. I have so many memories as does my daughter, Mariah of Ray being a "super" cookie "Grandad" along with Alice. I'm sure all the girls remember when he came to talk to them about his travels around the world - especially Germany. We were working on gathering information for our "Thinking Day" project and he came in and brought items and facts to share with the girls. I know he will be missed by many and there are many who will fondly remember his kindness! My love to the family!

I was heartbroken to hear of Mr. Given. I will cherish all of the talks that we had at Hermitage Elementary when he came to volunteer in my classroom. He touched so many students lives in a positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Ray was a "man for all seasons". He was always very kind and considerate, extremely intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a clean joke to tell. We will all miss this loyal, reliable and loving shipmate. May the great God of us all hold him in the palm of his hand forevermore.

Ray was a most reliable and competent engineer, gentle and kind, respected by all. He was truly a great asset to superiors when assigned to any Naval electronics program by providing peace of mind that responsible action was in good hands.
