We bid farewell to Raymond F. Wike (Pap), whose spirit departed from us on 14 August 2024 at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Ray walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone he encountered with an unforgettable grace.
Ray, a Vietnam veteran proudly served his country retiring after 20+years of service with the U.S. Air Force. As an advocate for military service, Ray dedicated his time with the Clymer American Legion where held several offices. Also, Ray volunteered countless hours providing support to the Indiana county Disabled American Veterans (DAV) program. Aside from the Legion and DAV Ray was an active leader in the community where he was heavily involved with Scouting and Chief of the Revloc Fire Department, An outdoor enthusiast, Ray loved spending time with his brothers, nephews, and friends hunting and fishing while telling stories over a “cold one” of the one that got away. Ray was an avid Steeler fan who never missed ‘the game”. However his greatest accomplishment in life was his 52 year marriage to his wife, Mary Ann!
Ray leaves behind his wife Mary Ann, daughter Coral Castelar, son Kevin and daughter in-law Herlinda. Grandchildren Alysha, Robert, Megan, Stephen, Julianne, Great Grandchild Santana. Brother Wilbur and sister Shirley Ann. Preceded in death by parents Dell and Blanche Wike, brother Robert (Bob), Stearle (Butch) and Richard (Dick) Wike.
Services will be held at the Clymer American Legion on August 31, 2024 at 2 pm.
