Renee Mary Harmon, died January 26th 2022 at Sentara Regional Hospital in Williamsburg, VA after a short battle with liver and pancreas cancer, 09/18/1948-01/26/2022, 73 years of life.

She is survived by her two children; her twins William Harmon (Buddy) and Heather Grimsley, John Grimsley her Son-in-law and her two grandchildren John and Hanna, along with Her Sister Jeanne Ross, Aunt Betty Ross, Uncle Samuel Ross, Cousin Sandra Fullmer and great cousins Robert Marcell and Jennifer Watson. Her friends that were ever so dear to her and part of her family too.

Renee grew up in New Jersey and Morton Pennsylvania then moved to Virginia in her 30’s where she later raised her “twins” in Lanexa Virginia. The Diascund Reservoir was a place we’re she taught her children how to fish, swim, walk trails in the woods and enjoy the natural wildlife all within footsteps of their home. She loved animals more than one could know including her Yorkie Cherish. Her passion for chimpanzees and receiving a personal signed letter from Jane Goodall was a highlight of her life. She went to Thomas Nelson community college where she earned her associates degree in Health Care and a major in Science, followed by a job at Sentara as a lab tech. Later in life she cleaned homes as she wanted to keep caring for many and loved the relationships she had established. Her friends were always around her and she always had some adventure planned as she loved to stay busy including going to many charitable events, going to the zoo, flea markets and antique shops. A Breast Cancer survivor in 2021. She was an amazing artist and could paint a picture that was worth a thousand words. She loved Harley Davidson’s and rode them in her earlier years. When one drove by she would say that’s my heart, I love that sound. Antiques were her passion to collect and oh how she had so many. Her grandchildren had her heart. She loved Yorktown beach and had many cookouts with her children there, she loved to travel and explore the world and teach her children about different cultures. Renee’s focus was raising her twins the best she could and to see them succeed in life which she achieved and would always say she couldn’t be prouder. She will be deeply missed but know she is now an Angel watching over them until they meet again!

A celebration of life will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 ironbound road, Williamsburg VA 23188. Announcements to follow.
