Richard C. Kinzig
Virginia Beach – Richard C. Kinzig, 74, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013. Dick was born in Buffalo, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law.
Dick was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was retired from the Navy and graduated from TCC and Norfolk State. Dick loved baseball, football, golf, and most sports. He loved to tell jokes and make others laugh. He loved people. He loved to dance, sing and have fun.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gem; children, Paul Karen, Chuck Cheryl, Lisa Jay, and Kristy Joe; grandchildren, Jason, Beth Scott, David Jen, Rudy, Bryan, Joey Tracee, Kelsey, Johnna, Becky, and Lexi; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Keith, and Colton; brothers, Don and Russ Gwen; sister, Shirley Pat; brothers-in-law, John Eileen and Tom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Thank you to his special friends and neighbors – some new and some old – who enriched his life and listened to all his stories and jokes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1pm at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 3204 on Newtown Road in Virginia Beach. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to www.cremate.org.
