Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Fenstermaker, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Floyd Wilkins; his brother, John Fenstermaker; his children: Taylor Hogate, Dylan Casper, Richard Fenstermaker III, Meghan Fenstermaker, Jade Lutz, Aaron Fenstermaker, Gracie Fenstermaker, Xander Fenstermaker, and Vinny Fenstermaker; his grandchildren: Grady Hogate, Ryver Fenstermaker, Willow Matthews, and Ricky Fenstermaker IV; and his life partner, Christine Paternite.

A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.
